Abbey. You can’t move into the castle, but Downton diehards have the option to stay at the 19th-century coaching inn once

April 13 – April 23, 2020
Depart from your local city.
Arrive in the vibrant city of London where you will stay just minutes from the Buckingham Palace gates at the 4.5-star St. James Hotel. Meet and mingle with your fellow travelers during an opening reception.
Receive an overview of the city’s most popular destinations during a coach tour, then visit the famed costume house that makes many of the costumes for Downton Abbey and Poldark -- or spend the last afternoon in London exploring the city. The evening is yours.
Spend the day like a Downton Abbey denizen. Take a self-guided tour, chat with docents at Highclere Castle and stroll the sprawling gardens. The next stop is a ride to Bampton, the charming village that is another filming location used for some of the show’s most memorable scenes. Overnight in Oxford.
Travel from Oxford to Chavenage House, the family home of the Poldarks. Enjoy a private tour and lunch in the home used as Trenwith in the series. The evening concludes in beautiful Cornwall at Falmouth. Falmouth will be
our home in Cornwall until we depart for Bath.
Enjoy a day-long tour of Cornwall sites used in Poldark. From Charlestown, that doubles as the harbour in Poldark, to Porthcurno, which was used in filming Ross Poldark’s skinny dipping scene. After a stop for lunch, we head past Cape Cornwall to the mining town of St.Just and up to Botallack Mines. You will instantly recognize the mines as they are used for the location shots as Wheal Grambler and Wheal Leisure. It is one of the most iconic locations in Cornwall and stunningly beautiful.
DAY 7 Port Issac, the main filming location of Doc Martin, is where you will spend the bulk of the day. We will explore Port Issac by the local Doc Martin expert. After you break for lunch on your own, we will enjoy a cream tea at the Old Schoolhouse used in the filming of Doc Martin.
Our day begins in St. Agnes where we will make and dine on “pasties,” a traditional Cornish baked pastry. After a leisurely lunch, we head back to Bath.
Enjoy a two-hour soak at Thermae Bath Spa, or stay dry and learn more about the Roman Baths at the Pump Room Museum. The afternoon in Bath is yours.
In the morning, we will take the train back to London, followed by a private tour of Kensington Palace. Spend the last afternoon in London exploring the city. Our final night together concludes with a dinner at the St. James Court. Enjoy a final night in the famed hotel.
Depart for home.
